Frequently Asked Questions
-
Will I receive two bills? No, you will only receive one bill from your utility. Your total bill is divided into two parts: Supply and Delivery. Delivery is the process of bringing electricity to your home or business. Your local utility remains responsible for the delivery of electricity, repairing the poles and wires, and restoring power. The delivery services cost is based on the number of kWh used multiplied by the local utility’s delivery rate. The aggregation does not affect these services. Supply refers to the electricity itself. The supply services cost is also based on the number of kWh used multiplied by a supply rate. As part of the aggregation, your local government leverages the bulk purchasing power of all the residents and businesses within their borders to secure a competitive supply rate. You have been and will always be charged for both Supply and Delivery regardless of whether you are in an aggregation, choose your own competitive supplier, or remain on your utility's Basic Service.
